In just a couple of hours I will be driving down to Raleigh for tomorrow’s SQLSaturday #320. It looks like a great line up with far too many great sessions scheduled to attend them all. Just a few minutes ago I was inputting my first desired sessions and secondaries, for when I change my mood last-minute, into the PASS Events app. If you aren’t familiar with it, I recommend the download to your phone or tablet. PASS Events is powered by Guidebook with is a really convenient way to keep up on the schedules and pre-plan your day. Brent Ozar (t | b) wrote a fairly complete overview of the features here.
But I digress. There are a lot of big names speaking tomorrow and a lot of really interesting session abstracts. So much that I might go back to my plan and add a tertiary session for each time block. Here is what I’m planning to attend, until I redo it again.
On the topic of session scheduling. As seen above, the sqlsaturday site has a good schedule builder as well. You just login into the site, select the page for the event that you are going to attend, and then you will find the builder in the menu bar. This is ideal for tweaking things before the event but I moved my plans into the PASS Event app for ease of use while I’m in attendance and don’t want to deal with potential formatting or scrolling frustrations on my smart phone.
If you are reading this, I hope that I get to see you tomorrow.
